In March 2024, at Studio 544 in Brooklyn, New York, makeup artist MARK EDIO and photographer CHRIS WHITE began a collaborative exploration of beauty-forward image-making. Without a pre-determined concept, style, or goal, they began developing personal responses to the undefinable and subjective notions of “BEAUTY.”

Engaged with the fluid concepts surrounding individuality, identity, and self-expression, Edio and White cultivated an instinctual and organic creative process. Through this intuitive collaboration the landscape of BEAUTY was allowed to manifest naturally, authentically, and unfiltered. As the body of work began to breathe and evolve, SERIES emerged.

SERIES is a living platform—a continually evolving body of work, unconfined by trends or conventions, that will continue to unfold as a spontaneous and provocative vehicle for their perspectives on the complexities of beauty.
